Sensors for soil and plant mapping and terrain analysis
- New abstract deadline, August 31 -

Background
The objective of the seminar is to provide an opportunity for knowledge exchange and discussion focusing on the use of soil and crop sensors for different applications and subject areas.
Topics
The topics are to some extent dependent on submitted abstracts. Some plausible topics are
-Crop and soil mapping
-Sensor applications in field experiments
-Hot spot identification
-Carbon balance -Environmental impact
-Hydrology
-Topographic terrain analysis
-“Operations planning" as user of sensor data
-Real-time operations in agriculture
-Other applications of crop and soil sensors

Target group
The target group of the seminar include:
-Researchers of different disciplines
-Practitioners
-Extension services
-Policymakers
-Others with interest in the use of crop and soil sensors for different purposes
Call for papers and posters
Participants are invited to submit a short or extended abstract (½-4 pages, in English) for oral or poster presentation. The abstracts will be published in an abstract book that will be distributed at the seminar. The abstract template can be downloaded to the right. Deadline for submission is August 31. Travel information
The venue is located in central Skara and can be reached by train to Skövde and then bus to Skara busstation. For map and timetable see links to the right. The seminar starts at 09:00 on October 27 (registration from 08:30) and ends at 15:00 on October 28.
Additional information
Seminar fee includes dinner first evening, lunches and refreshments.
The participants themselves arrange accomodation. Links to hotels and hostels in Skara are found to the right.
