NJF seminar 399 Beneficial health substances from berries and minor crops – How to increase their concentration in cultivated species, eliminate losses in processing and enhance dietary use 14-15 March 2007 Finland |
Today’s consumers are becoming more and more health conscious in relation to diet. Research has produced evidence of health-promoting substances in various foodstuffs and their raw materials. The focus of this seminar is on health-promoting substances derived from cultivated and wild Nordic berries and minor crops, including buckwheat and flax.
The objective of the seminar is to bring together all the players in the food production chain, from farmers to consumers, to identify areas for further research and to initiate collaboration among groups that will lead to new research projects.
